Welcome to Echovault ("we," "us," "our," or "Echovault"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Echovault application (the "App"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the App.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the App after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.

1. COLLECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

b. Data Collected Automatically:

When you access and use the App, we may automatically collect certain information, which may include:

  • Device Information: Information about your mobile device or computer system, such as device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
  • Error and Performance Data: If the App encounters errors or performance issues, we may collect diagnostic data to help us identify and fix problems.

c. Information from AI Services:

When you use features that leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) services, the prompts you provide and the content generated by these AI services are processed.

  • Prompts: The text or data you input as prompts for AI generation.
  • Generated Content: The text, images, or other data returned by the AI services.

We do not store the direct inputs to or outputs from third-party AI services beyond what is necessary for the immediate functionality of the App, unless explicitly saved by you as User Content within the App.

2. USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the App to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Operate and maintain the App.
  • Provide the App's features and functionalities, including AI-powered content generation.
  • Save and manage your User Content (campaigns, characters, etc.) as directed by you.
  • Improve the App, its features, and user experience.
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and provide customer support.
  • Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the App.

3. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We may share your information with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. Examples include:

  • Cloud Hosting Providers: Vercel, AWS, Google Cloud for hosting the App and storing data.
  • AI Service Providers: OpenAI, Google (for Gemini via Vercel AI SDK), Anthropic when you use AI generation features.
  • Analytics Providers: Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics to help us understand App usage.
  • Error Tracking Services: Sentry, Bugsnag to help us identify and fix bugs.

4. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION

Your User Content (campaigns, characters, etc.) is stored to allow you to access and use it within the App. We will retain your Personal Data and User Content only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide you services.

You can typically delete your User Content from within the App. If you delete your account, your Personal Data and User Content will be deleted from our active databases within a reasonable timeframe, though backups may exist for a limited period.

5. SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your Personal Data and User Content. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

6. YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your Personal Data, including:

  • The right to access your personal data

Our Service is not intended for or directed at individuals under the age of eighteen (18).
